Consent and Privacy Come First
Dessa AI only clones your own voice or a voice you have permission to use, and you confirm that each time you save one. Other users never see your recordings, and deleting a voice deletes its recording too. Saving is free, and reading costs 2 credits per 160 characters. Credit packs and plans are on the pricing page.

What recording works best?
Aim for 30 seconds or more of one person speaking clearly in a quiet room, with no music behind them. Dessa AI uses only the first 3 minutes. Uploads can be MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, WebM or FLAC, up to 10 MB.
Am I allowed to clone another person’s voice?
Only if that person has agreed. Dessa AI asks you to confirm, before saving, that the voice is yours or that the speaker gave permission. Using a clone to impersonate a real person is never allowed.
What does voice cloning cost?
Saving a voice costs nothing, and each read costs 2 credits per 160 characters. You will see the price before you generate. Dessa AI has no free plan or free trial: the Mini credit pack is $8.90 for 180 credits, and subscriptions begin at $17.90 a month.
How many cloned voices can I save?
Each Dessa AI account holds up to 5 cloned voices. To free up a slot, delete a voice, which removes its recording as well.
Who can hear my recording?
Other users cannot. Dessa AI stores the recording privately in your account and sends it to the voice model only when you generate speech. It is erased when you delete the voice.
What languages can a cloned voice speak?
A cloned voice reads the same 39 languages as Dessa AI text to speech. The language is detected from your script, or you can choose it.
Can I use cloned speech in commercial work?
Yes, as long as the voice is yours or you have permission to use it. With paid Dessa AI credits, the audio can go into videos, courses, podcasts and ads, without a watermark. The script remains your responsibility.
